Dr. Tony Hopper and his wife Iva Kate (Hall) of 55+ years live in Hope Hull, Alabama. They have 2 children and 5 grandchildren. He received a BS from David Lipscomb College, a BSEE (Electrical Engineering) from the University of Tennessee, and an MSEE and PhDEE from Auburn University. After working as a Senior Systems Engineer for Sperry Rand, Harris Corp, and Intergraph for about six years, he switched careers and went into beef cattle and site work. He retired from site work in 2007 and started playing the violin and making short-term mission trips. He has made twelve trips to Africa teaching the Beatitudes, which he began studying in 1967. Dr. Hopper plays violin with the Montgomery Symphony Orchestra.
